Refueling Again.. Part 2

Stories change lives… Don’t think  I didn’t have to SEARCH to find my voice. Before I went half way across the country to  serve, I didn’t realize  my voice could be so influential.

I just want to say I took a very long , arduous journey and painful one, before visiting and speaking to this youth. I had barely lived thru any hardship at all when I saw what she had been through. I thank God for every experience I endured, for the sake of her ability to endure more.

Good grief!

It’ s the kind of grief that pushes you forward when you don’t want to grow. The kind of loss that you cannot really do anything about, yet you find purpose in,because you have to move on. It tears you apart, turns your world upside-down, it makes you want to holler and scream, yet it restrains you from losing control.  It calls for acceptance, within.  It makes you look for higher ground. It’s grief that you know will allow you to come to end of yourself if you choose to receive it for what it’s worth.

Good grief calls your name. It’s a place inside of your heart that searches and seeks out your purpose, causes you to have sorrow, but then it makes you look and see things in life much differently.  Challenges your belief system…Yea… that’s good grief.

Good grief has soul, purpose…passion even, wrapped up inside of it. Good grief makes you change.
